BEAUTY GIFTS FROM INDIE BEAUTY EXPO FROM NEIMAN MARCUS
Let’s take on a healthier approach when buying beauty gifts this holidays. People don’t realize that your skin is your largest organ. It surprises me that we aren’t conscious of what we put on our skin as we are with the food we eat. This year, we discovered some clean beauty lines that make wonderful beauty gifts. They are plant-based, natural and free of toxins, the way beauty should be. Kudos to Neiman Marcus for bringing in the Indie Beauty Expo which supports entrepreneurs who are passionate about bringing nature to skincare. The Indie Beauty Expo is like a pop up of small independently-owned beauty lines that’s available for a short time through the holidays from Neiman Marcus. And look out for the exclusive small batch products made just for Neiman Marcus. Check out my beauty gifts picks for the holidays.
“This is for the girl in every woman.” says co-founder, Charlotte Devereaux of Girl Undiscovered. You can’t get any greener than Girl Undiscovered when you learn that their ingredients are 100% wild. This New Zealand line ethically sources ingredients that are not farmed and are pesticide and herbicide free. How does Under The Waterfall Crystal Cleansing Water sound? You’ll feel the calm using this toning water that was sourced from the depths of 160 meters. The Stumble Across Paradise Face Mask has three incredible super ingredients: Burmese Thanaka (made from ground bark and used in ancient beauty rituals in Myanmar), Balinese virgin cold pressed coconut oil and wild New Zealand kanuka honey.
The list of ingredients in the Lip Nourish sheer lipsticks from LÜK Beautifood read like a food recipe with ingredients like avocado oil and cacao. Their colors are just as delicious sounding like Cranberry Citrus (my personal favorite) and Tangerine Pomegranate. At just $25, they make great teacher gifts, stocking stuffers or for the teen that’s starting to wear a little make up.
This is Hawaiian paradise in a bottle. Mahalo Skincare has released Queen Emma’s Hawaiian Beauty Essence just for Neiman Marcus. It’s pricey at $265 but if you’re looking to spoil someone and take them on a journey to paradise without leaving home, this elixir is for you. Check out also their beauty balms and the Mahalo Skincare BEAN Antioxidant Mask made with cacao, coffee and vanilla beans.
Just as the name infers, Luxe Botanics is a luxurious botanical line that’s wild harvested, certified organic and free of toxins. I’ve been obsessed with facial oils for a long time and Luxe Botanics Marula Serum made with Marula oil, native in Africa is full of antioxidants, vitamin C + E and flavonoids. The oil is non-greasy but so moisturizing. Since I’ve started using it, I feel like my pores are a smaller.
As far as facial oils go, there are several natural beauty brands that are my favorites. They all feel different so I rotate out each season. The Fabulous Facial Oil by Aesop has been an old favorite of mine for years from Australia. Aesop is available at Nordstrom and I was so excited to see two stores open up in Dallas at Bishop Arts District and Knox Henderson. A few drops goes a long way and I love the Ylang Ylang in it.
The Brightening Facial Oil by Beauty Counter is a lightweight oil with the magical marula oil (like the Luxe Botanics above) that I use at night time for spring and summer. You can order it through my friend, Christina LaFleur who is a a Beauty Counter consultant. And for those who like the fragrance of rose, Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic has a beautiful Rose Facial Oil that is so re-hydrating, it’s a treat for dry winter nights. Please contact my friend, Kristen Karlisch to order. Please let these girls know that IttyBittyFoodies sent you – they have no idea I’m writing about them but I love supporting my entrepreneurial friends.

Thanks for StyleSurfing with IttyBittyFoodies.
Style Surfing: Before I had my Itty Bitty Foodies, I had Style Surfers a website about all things fashionable and fabulous. This was in another galaxy far far away when I was the single girl about town. Fashion was my first love and this new Style Surfing segment is an ode to that. Some links may be contain affiliates, which gives the blog a few cents for click through. But as always, IttyBittyFoodies only picks things we love. Please enjoy.
