Dallas has its first water park resort hotel thanks to opening of JadeWaters at The Hilton Anatole Dallas last summer. The 3-acre water park experience comprising of a lazy river, two water slides, kids water features, luxury cabanas and a swim-up bar at the adult pool are available for hotel guests only. While you can visit JadeWaters any day of the week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the organized kids programming runs from Friday to Sunday. Here’s the IttyBittyFoodies low-down on our fun-packed weekend at The Hilton Anatole Dallas.

SATURDAY VIBES

Room Service? YES PLEASE! Our breakfast spread at The Hilton Anatole Dallas - Photo by IttyBittyFoodies.com

There’s a breakfast buffet at Terrace Cafe in Atrium 1 but the kids wanted room service! Blueberry pancakes, steak and eggs, smoked salmon, fresh fruit and pastries all satisfied our crew. After our hearty breakfast, 9 year old Lollo decided to try his hand at the Kids Culinary Experience where he made cake balls. My oldest headed straight for the water basketball where he made fast friends and my little one, enjoyed floating down the lazy river with Daddy.

We dined poolside on chicken wings, ceviche, shrimp rolls and mahi-mahi tacos before kids ran off to join the Kids Pool Party. This gave my husband a little time to relax with cocktails by the pool while the kids were being supervised.

The super cute Duck Race had us following our yellow ducks down the lazy river to see who would win the race. For those needing a break from the heat, there are puppet shows at Geppetto’s Marionette Theater held throughout the day. Mine didn’t want to budge from JadeWaters till dinner time when we dined at the Media Grill + Bar in air-conditioned comfort.

You don’t realize just how massive The Hilton Anatole Dallas is until you walk around the 1606 room hotel. Take a 1 mile art walk or an Art Scavenger hunt with the kids to peruse the over 1000 pieces of curated art work in the two atriums, tower and sculpture park. It’s a different pace from all the go-go-go action at JadeWaters. Directions can be found at Anatole Art.

After dinner, the Kid’s Concierge  holds a S’more Party and then movie night under the stars at the Anatole Park.

TIP: Before going to bed, take the elevator up to SER Spirits and Steak on the 27th floor to take in a view of downtown Dallas.

We slept in on Sunday and enjoyed room service again. If you’re on a time crunch, CounterOffer has pre-prepared meals, coffee and pastries to go. If you’re looking for another lazy pool day, The Hilton Anatole allows guests to stay at JadeWaters after checking out at noon.

TIP: JadeWaters gets very busy on weekends. If you have little ones who need constant supervision and cannot participate in organized pool games or stay up late enough for the Movies under the stars, we’d recommend staying from Sunday to Thursday. It’s a less crowded experience at JadeWaters.

Thank you to The Hilton Anatole Dallas for hosting our staycation. The IttyBittyFoodies loved JadeWaters Resort Pool Complex this summer!
