Just in time for holiday gifting or beginning a healthier New Year regimen, we are giving away the new China Study Cookbook by Leanne Campbell, PHD. The China Study Cookbook is packed with over 120 delicious plant-based recipes that are easy to make at home. What is the China Study you might ask?
The China Study book was written by T. Colin Campbell (the father of Leanne Campbell who wrote this Cookbook companion) and is based on a 20 year old study by the China-Cornell-Oxford project that T. Colin Campbell was part of. It studies the correlation between the consumption of animal products (including dairy) and chronic diseases such as coronary heart disease. This was one of the most comprehensive study of health and nutrition ever conducted.
The China Study Cookbook was developed based on these scientific findings. There’s a detailed introduction on the benefits of plant-based foods, how to substitute ingredients like adding rice milk in cereals instead of cow’s milk and how to transition your kids to the diet.
We’re not vegetarians in this household but we recognize the benefits of adding more veggies and fruits in our diet. The recipes are comprehensive and include meals for any time of day: breads, muffins, breakfast dishes, appetizers, salads, soups, salads, mains, sides and desserts.
We have one China Study Cookbook to giveaway. To enter, just tell us your 2014 New Year’s resolution. Write a comment below this post in the comments section or on our IttyBittyFoodies Facebook page. Those who do both will get an extra entry in the bowl. Competition closes on Sunday December 15th, 2013 at 11pm Central Time. Winner will be announced on Monday December 16th, 2013. Entrants must reside in the US.
Till our next Happy Meal!
